WHAT IS CHESTERFIELD LOCAL?

Chesterfield Local is the online hub for two popular printed publications, delivered free of charge and created to serve the community in the market town of Chesterfield.

​

S40 Local magazine has been helping support local business, encouraging a sense of community and championing local events for over 10 years.

​

Sister publication, S41 Local, was launched in 2018 and follows the same ethos as the original magazine with tailored content for the community based around Newbold and Sheffield Road.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?

​

S40 Local magazine is the brainchild of local father or two, and cycling enthusiast Paul Chapman.

​

After many years spent project managing in IT, a chance of redundancy led to a slight change of career … Paul set up as a painter and decorator. It was during this time that it became apparent there was a gap in the market for an affordable method of advertising for small local businesses and S40 Local was launched.

​

Over the years the fantastic team has grown (see below) and in 2018 Paul partnered with local couple Simon Paterson and Bekah Anstey to launch S41 Local. Simon and Bekah have followed in Paul's footsteps, working tirelessly to teach themselves the skills needed to publish a magazine.

WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

S40 Local and S41 Local are delivered to 14, 500 properties across Chesterfield to areas including Acorn Ridge, Ashgate, Brampton, Brockwell, Brookside, Highfield, Holymoorside, Newbold, Sheffield Road, Somersall, Walton and a small selection of independent town centre businesses.
