Dirty Fun at Ashover

Do you want to have some Muddy fun? If so the third annual HARP 5 Kilometre Mud run is being held at High Ashes Rural Project on the 28 April 2019.

The HARP (High Ashes Rural Project HARP) project was establish in 2014, with the aim of helping people with learning disabilities and unemployed people to gain confidence and learn at the same time. It's located closeby, between Chesterfield and Matlock.

Jordon Bestwick (far right in the photograph) is a volunteer at Harp explained “last year we had really good fun. The mud run is open to everybody, you don’t have to be super fit to do it. You can run or walk the course, the most important thing is that you have fun”.

In the weeks leading up to HARP Mud run, the group work together to create the course, plan the route, build the obstacles and mark out the final course at Ashover.

Until the end of March entry is just £15 (£20 after) and students and young people are £5. Jordon Bestwick said “we are happy if people want to get sponsored and raise money for their own favourite good cause”.
