"This kind of event is very new to me, I cycle as much as I can, and have ridden things like the Ard Rock Enduro, but this 24-hour solo is my first!" says Dan.
Dan Hunt works at TriumphWorld, Chesterfield and describes himself as an ordinary everyday 30 year-old guy, with a keen interest in cycling.
This year will see him step out of his comfort zone to raise money by taking part in a 24-hour mountain bike race, Mountain Mayhem, competing as solo rider.
"This kind of event is very new to me, I cycle as much as I can, and have ridden things like the Ard Rock Enduro, but this 24-hour solo is my first!" says Dan.
"I will be competing in this race, in the hope of raising as much money as possible for Great Ormond St Hospital.
"I'm a father of two young kids, and have been fortunate that neither have needed any form of critical care. But there are so many families out there that are not so lucky. Hopefully, whatever the amount, with donations and help, we can help change their lives!"
If you'd like to support Dan on his 24 hour sufferfest you can donate to his cause at the link below (or search him out on social media).
