Looking for some unusual Christmas gifts this year? Look no further than the Fairplay Gift Emporium.
Situated in the Chesterfield Market Hall, the Fairplay Gift Emporium gives young people with learning disabilities the opportunity to learn valuable skills that may lead to future employment, in a safe and supportive environment. The Emporium opened in May 2018 and is situated in Unit 21 of the Market Hall, opposite the entrance to the shopping precinct.
All of the items for sale are sourced locally from artists and artisan producers and include jewellery, bath and body products, pottery and wood crafted goods.
The Gift Emporium is usually open four days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. However, due to the pandemic and lockdown, the days and times have varied. Please see their Emporium Facebook page for details of how you can still order and purchase items.
The young people responsible for running the Emporium hope to reopen in time for Christmas. They would like to welcome you into the shop on the following days in December Friday 4th, 11th and Sunday 13th and 20th (10:20am to 2:30pm) for a chocolate and a free glass of bubbly!
