It seems like quite some time ago that I popped out to see Missie and Ross at the newly opened KoKo’s salon on The Spires Estate. I am so pleased to feature them in this month’s S41 and thrilled that they will be re-opening their doors on the 4th of July. I’ll be sure to pop down for a glass of fizz!
Local couple Missie and Ross are the dynamic duo behind KOKO Tanning and beauty in Bolsover. After smashing their goals and building their business, they decided to take the leap and open a second salon. This came with many challenges from deciding on the right location, renovating a retail unit to sourcing quality and ethical products that represent their brand. March 2020 saw the doors open for the first time and the diary was quickly filling up.
Missie has over 10 years’ experience within the beauty industry and has a real eye for anything creative. This became obvious from meeting Missie, she is edgy, quirky and super cool!
Missie and Ross away from the salon are simply mum and dad, this is their driving force behind the KoKo brand, they really want to leave a legacy for their family, I love that about them.
They are big supporters of all things local, from the Dave Draws artwork in their salon to using local services for their bookkeeping and shop fitting. They feel it is the duty of Chesterfield businesses to ensure we support each other. We are all for that!

KoKo’s are now taking bookings online for the following treatments:
Sunbeds – there are two stand up and one lay down bed, take advantage of the in-house advice and use the top of the range products for the best tan. A 60-minute block booking is currently the bargain price of £20.
Nails - Gel polish including nail prep, acrylic extensions and infills - the best products are used such as Gel Bottle and Glitterbels, and safe removal bookings are also available.
Brows and Lashes - Lash and brow tint, natural lash extensions, LVL lashes and safe removal appointments available.
