Apprentice opportunity and a bespoke memorial truck for a Brampton man, Kevin Shand.
A Herring Ltd recently supplied a bespoke tractor unit on rental to CS2, in memory of a local Brampton man, Kevin Shand, who recently passed away at work.
"The business has seen positive growth year on year and employs over 95 people who look after over 100 customers ranging from household retailers to various food manufacturers.
Founded by MD Gary Turney in 2004, CS2 Transport Ltd - “Creative Supply Chain Solutions” has its company’s head office in Chesterfield just five minutes from Junction 29 of the M1 and are specialists in Temperature Controlled Logistical Solutions.
Gary explains, "Our business covers the distribution & storage of temperature controlled goods throughout the whole of the UK, ranging from 1 box to 26 pallets, in a fleet of over 50 vehicles which all have the ability to transport products ranging from ambient to -25ºc to BRC Storage and Distribution Grade AA standard.
"The business has seen positive growth year on year and employs over 95 people who look after over 100 customers ranging from household retailers to various food manufacturers.
"A Herring Ltd have been instrumental in the acquisition of a flag ship DAF XF 530 unit, registered as CS02 KEV, dedicated to the memory of one of our drivers, Kev “Shandy” Shand, who tragically passed away in April 2018. Kev joined CS2 in May 2014 as a Class 1 driver and had a great sense of humour and is sadly missed by all the staff at CS2."
A Herring Ltd, established in 1936, have the only HGV testing facility in Chesterfield. They also do tachographs and have been a DAF dealer for over 25 years with a national rental fleet of fridge vans, tractor units, crane trucks and trailers in England, Wales and Scotland.
